Rear Window captivated me from start to finish. The suspense is created primarily by the observation from a distance and one's own imagination. James Stewart is incredibly believable as the nosy neighbor, and you really feel for him as the situation escalates. The story shows how quickly one can get lost in one's thoughts – and how dangerous that can sometimes be. Hitchcock is simply a master at combining atmosphere and thrills. A true classic!
