El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

This is fine. Definitely not needed, nor does it add much to the series, which is superior in every way. I don’t dislike the film and it’s always fun watching Jesse, but this did feel entirely unnecessary. At least it’s better than the many saints of Newark.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie

Hi, been reading and working, mostly. Movies what? Ez has been blazing through the TV show these last few weeks and I've been dipping in alongside after work. Been quite a while since I last sat down and considered the series (well, outside of the near constant meme-ing going on online) and while I'd forgotten a lot of specific story beats I still came away enamored once again with all those knock-out performances and the show's astounding consistency. When it first released I wasn't into "drug shit" or "crime shit" as I was idiotically dismissing it then and probably only checked in because of the "Malcolm Middle Dad is doing a thing in his underwear" hook. And so many sustained, gun-to-temple-esque days later, I was crying/laughing through the twilight hours of one fucker's sprint to hell and all the adjoining souls caught in that wake of misery. With Ez clearing the series finale, we jumped immediately into this follow-up feature. It felt right in line with the series; practically a two hour episode. Fine. Just swell. Don't know if added anything to how I felt about Jesse's character that wasn't summed up in those powerful final moments we see him on screen in the original run, but it was fun to see the details fleshed out. And a little more of Robert Forster, man, that was a treat. Guess we're off to Better Call Saul now, bye!

El Camino is a solid follow-up for Breaking Bad fans, offering closure and strong performances. The pacing is slower at times, and without the broader context of the series, some moments lose impact. Still, El Camino delivers a satisfying continuation, even if it’s not as gripping as the show itself.
