Gladiator II
Gladiator II brings back the epic scale of its predecessor, and while it may not surpass the original, it still delivers plenty of thrills and tension. The visuals and sound design are absolutely stunning, making it a must-watch on the big screen. The story itself is quite straightforward, with some moments that defy logic—I mean, who would have expected the Colosseum to become a massive swimming pool? It’s strange, sure, but undeniably entertaining. The third act was somewhat underwhelming, though. Every actor gives a strong performance, with Paul and Denzel stealing the spotlight. Really enjoyed it until the last half an hour. Thought the build up was good if not slightly unoriginal but the ending was a real dull point. Nowhere near as interesting or iconic as the original, and as much as I like Paul Mescal he wasn’t great in this. Not bad and still a fun time, but definitely not close to film of the year like some people were saying prior to its release.

look, pedro pascal has always been good looking but let me tell you he looks scrumptious in this movie!!! like jaw dropping, fist biting, kicking and screaming attractive!!!! and the way he said "my lady" 😳🥵🫠🧎🏻♀️

Bloody Spectacle The sequel to the cult classic Gladiator with Russell Crowe offers a bittersweet ending for the main character but a triumphant one for the Roman Empire. The legacy of Maximus is passed on to his son Lucius, played convincingly by Paul Mescal. However, the true stars of the film are the incomparable Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington, whose characters’ deaths left me deeply emotional😢 They commanded the audience’s attention and delivered unforgettable performances. Though I initially couldn’t imagine how a sequel could work, Sir Ridley Scott proved me wrong. He has crafted a slightly overlong yet solid, grand, visually stunning, and epic spectacle. At 86 years old, he continues to demonstrate his mastery of filmmaking.

não tem o mesmo molho do primeiro (como pode um filme de anos atrás ser mais bem feito que um desse ano), mas tem o paul mescal, que talvez já faça valer a pena um pouco
