The Fugitive

THE dad movie. Thrilling and captivating, this would've been spectacular on the big screen. Perfectly paced and that kept me hook for 2 hours and it has a lot of similarities to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Tommy Lee Jones is VERY athletic in this and he's cool here. You guys think that Richard and Samuel explore each other's bodies after that ending?

The Fugitive

we like to throw around the "we dont make movies like this anymore" but yeah we really dont make movies like THIS ANYMORE. *Andrew Davis when directing this film in Tommy Lee Jones's voice* WE NEED A BIG SET, 200 EXTRAS, 50 CARS, WE'RE SHOOTING THIS ON LOCATION, FOREGROUND, MOVING CAMERA, PUT SMOKE IN THERE TOO

The Fugitive

A very enjoyable thriller for me, thanks to my dad he recommended me this. It has a very dark subjects matter or problems and it is nice to see 'the brightness / the lightness' of the movie because goddamn they paid the bills for lighting unlike the other that have dark-heavy thriller concept.

The Fugitive

it took me forever to find out where this was originally released and why the episodes were under 8 minutes. imagine my surprise when i found out it was from a failed short length streaming service that shut down months after its release. i was able to get my hands on it (šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø) and let me just say... its okay. the plot is there. i was interested and wanted everything to work out but the directing, the script, the acting in some parts were just not good. this was based on movie and i think if they wanted to do a remake with a similar plot, they should have made this a film. a film with a good director, and a better supporting cast. boyd holbrook and the one dude that i knew from narcos were the only two that didn't make me want to rip my eyes out of my skull. it was still fun to watch and i am glad i did i just wish they did something better with the original idea.

The Fugitive

Wow, spent like 30 minutes trying to find something to watch and hesitantly settled on this, what a great surprise!Ā  Maybe my favorite Harrison Ford performance, Tommy Lee Jones was also great but he looks the exact same age as he does in No Country for Old Men 14 years later šŸ˜‚.Ā  9/10

The Fugitive

I love how the cops in this are just total Chicago dickheads. For some reason that sandwich Ford makes with the eggs has always looked so damn good to me.

Thanks to an errant sticker on a vhs copy of this in my Easter basket I learned that Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc, were not real a week before my 9th birthday.

The Fugitive

ā€œI thought you didn’t care?ā€ First time watching this since I was a child and the only thing I remember from back then is that this movie terrified me to my core. I have no idea why, but I had so many nightmares about the ā€œone armed manā€ā€¦ But enough about that, this was quite the thrilling film. Appreciate that it hit the ground running and caught us up along the way. A lesser film would have drawn out the crime and sentencing but no, we’re in the chase less than 10 minutes in. Harrison and Tommy Lee are fantastic. Film’s a bit long though.

The Fugitive

The Fugitiveis a film that has been on my list for quite some time. I have heard nothing but great things about the film, which, in hindsight, likely contributed to my general disappointment with the movie. Andrew Davis’Chicago-based thriller may not be everything I was hoping for, but still manages to deliver as a generally solid mystery from start to finish. There are some impressive effects here, mainly those during the introductory train crash scene which feature some wonderful compositing. But beyond that, it’s your standard ā€˜wrong man at the wrong time’ cat and mouse deal. TommyLee Jones was the performance that stood out to me the most in the film, but I foundFord’s stoic and strangely competent surgeon to offer a pretty interesting dive into the action-centered male fantasy these kinds of characters often embody. Seriously, this guy manages to outsmart both a federal agency and an entire police force through dumb luck and god-like plot armor. WhileThe Fugitive is a film that so clearly reflects the decade it was made in, Davis takes pretty big inspiration from films like North by Northwestand The 39 Steps, injecting it with that early 90’s flare. It’s undeniably cheesy, but oh so fun to watch. It’s not something I see myself revisiting, but I’m glad I can finally scratch this one off my list. [Kimble]: ā€œI didn't kill my wife!ā€ [Gerard]: ā€œI don't care!ā€ Dad watched it because it's one of his favorite films. Mom and I watched it for Harrison Ford. We all loved it in the end. ✨ FAMILY BONDING ✨
