D.E.B.S.
The funny thing is, I had no idea there was any lesbianism in this film. I literally watched it because of Devon AokiâI thought she was cool, and yeah... she really is. Some parts of the film don't make much sense, and the editing is kinda messy too, but I think that's what makes it unique and interesting. I had a lot of fun watching itâit was silly, chaotic, and of course... bonus points for the lesbianism :b

Their home force field is the same plaid pattern as their skirts! The production is a very specific slice of 00's life, gay as hell, and nobody fucking dies. Movie owns.
D.E.B.S.
This counts as "Digital Film Revolution" flick, aside Inland Empire, Tangerine, Upside Color, Speed Racer, Bamboozled, and Frances Ha. An cheesy, but quite fetch and fun take/foray on the spy in LGBT territory, that also in the 2000s. A "men fantasy" concept, with female perspective (and directed by one, good), this sense of fashion and filmaking nailed it. Also: movie with a Death on Vegas song that isn't Dirge: â

SO OF YOU'LL EXCUSE ME, I HAVE A DATE WITH THE DEVL essas sapatas sao babadeiras senhorrr
D.E.B.S.
I went into this film understanding it to be a movie with queer undertones rather than a full-on lesbian romance. I'm so glad to have been proven wrong! There are so many technical aspects of this film that were so amateurish. I couldn't count on my fingers and toes how many times the characters' hair clips through the green screen. And Devon Aoki's French accent...? Still, despite its flaws, this movie is such a good time. It's sweet and simple and that's all I really needed it to be. I haven't loved cops this much since Fargo.
