It's amazing to see where animation has come! Walt Disney created one of the most iconic figures in all of film; the famous Mickey Mouse! Steamboat Willy is surprisingly violent! I was surprised to see how much violence was in the short. One character was chewing tobacco, which wouldn't be appropriate at all in today's terms! It's interesting to see what they thought was suitable for kids to watch, compared to the strict rating system today. Steamboat Willy will always be iconic. The first look at Mickey Mouse is really interesting, and is still funny, even 87 years after it's release.
