The Dig

beautiful movie, i loved the ending when robert brings mr. brown and his mum to the boat at night and reassures her that she doesn't need to worry about him or about life after death, that it's a journey into space to go reunite with her king, mr. pretty. truly beautiful.

The Dig

Definitely what I've been craving on an archeology film however the unnecessary hetero romance ruined the second half as they TRIED to make it important whilst there's a gay romance going on, jeez 🙄. The first half was the solid ground

The Dig

❝Life is very fleeting. I've learned that. It has moments you should seize.❞ ∘₊──── ‱ ♧ ‱ ✧ ‱ ♧ ‱ ────₊∘ The Dig is a stunning and very calming film. Because the plot is pretty simple, it relies on the charm of its cast and the beauty of its locations, and it just works very well. Ralph Fiennes is excellent as Basil Brown (though his accent could use some work) and I'm glad Mr. Brown is now recognised for his incredible work. Carey Mulligan is also great as Edith Pretty, and I loved her wardrobe and the manor her character lived in. I was surprised to find that the best performance actually came from Archie Barnes, who played Robert Pretty; for a child actor, he was so good and stole the scene several times. The camerawork is brilliant, as is the soundtrack, and overall I really enjoyed watching this film.

The Dig

Es increíblemente inspirador, no es para nada perfecto pero es una película imperdible, astutamente combinada por una narrativa cuidada al nivel de Terrence Malick, es una pequeña pepa de diamante que busca convertirse en joya con el tiempo.

The Dig

So, that was perfectly adequate. Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes do great but then, halfway through the film, they throw in Lily James to the mix just to give her a shitty romantic subplot, how dare you The Dig? Lily James deserves better. So yeah, that was well made, wont see it again, will probably forget about it in a few days.
