Escape Room

I could have forgiven everything else if the film ended before the last 10 minutes happened. Still better than Circle (2015), still worse than Cube. Also *gets out the biggest loudspeaker I can find* it is possible to make something with a budget that is of above-decent quality and to cast Deborah Ann Woll in it, we've been waiting long enough thank you

Escape Room

Well that was fun and really out of the box, i'm in edge of my bed while watching it. Looks like i'm watching SAW but with no gore. Gonna watch the second too!

Escape Room

It's very surprising to know that Escape Room was a January release, rather than a pre-summer one. To put it simply, Escape Room is a fun film. It's in the same vein as summer blockbusters (think like last year's Skyscraper), but also makes you think some. While it not may be the best film ever, with the best acting or best plot decisions, overall, this film still manages to simply entertain. I wish I had seen this film in theaters, since I actually had a lot of fun watching it, and would be interested to see how audiences reacted to it. Do I think it's going to get a sequel, which it set itself up for? No, but it would be nice to get a little closure and see one last ultimate escape room.

Escape Room

i was rooting for her until she decided to keep going after surviving all that. overall i enjoyed it, the puzzles were crazy and i also liked how each character had their own story that ended up bringing them together. the deaths could've been more interesting but it was still a fun watch

Escape Room

The game of survival of the fittest. Throw different personalities into puzzle rooms and see who comes out. This is always fun, especially when all of them are jam-packed with past traumas. I especially liked how each room was strongly significant to each person's history up until the room with everyone's past hospital room. How brilliant! To be put back at your lowest low. And when I think about it, the only possible way movies like these can exist is all because of "12 Angry Men". How characters fold and unfold in an enclosed space, how they admit and fail right in front of the other, revealing themselves altogether. But in watching these collapses, we see how complete the foils keep them together. None of them leave each other in the sense that they become this forced, inseparable pact, feeding off of each other, all quite brilliantly. But of course, films have progressed beyond classics like "12 Angry Men". We crave plot, action, and how it propels the plot, especially a film of this caliber, but this is where "Escape Room" churns fun into frustration. The quarter rest of the film breaks survival and reveals, but strips the film of its energetic core. I think the humor throughout the film helped levy the impact of the end, but felt absolute dissatisfaction as it feels it will eventually snake into just another franchise.
