Tim Burton's shining star. A great movie about a not-so-great director. Tim Burton is the only director that could have handled this film correctly. He was able to get Ed and Bela's relationship, since he had the same relationship with Vincent Price. Johnny Depp was odd, funny, and stunning. Johnny Depp is Burton's star, and oh how he shined in this film! Whether he was directing or going through a relationship or even cross-dressing, Depp took everything with grace. He was able to get the quirks and habits that Wood had. Everything about this film was amazing. Its stunning black and white really made the film feel vintage and contemporary. Tim Burton is an amazing director that handled this movie perfectly. Did it deserve the Academy Award it won? It was extremely deserving! From Martin's performance as Bela to Tim Burton's own personal flair to it, Ed Wood is magical in all aspects of the film.

what ed wood really had was this drive when it came to his craft and his passion for filmmaking and that for sure applies to all the filmmakers out there. he was an optimist and a visionary towards his endeavors.

Visions are worth fighting for. Why spend your life making someone else's dreams?
