Her Smell

Every scene in the first 80 minutes feels anxious and makes you desperate to escape Elisabeth Moss has a career year between this, Us, and a stellar performance in the good-but-flawed The Kitchen. With how promotional material for The Invisible Man looks, and with Wiki saying she's also cast in upcoming films by Taika Waititi, Wes Anderson, and Josephine Decker, I have little doubts 2020 is going to slow things down

Her Smell

Her Smell had been one of my most anticipated films in a long time, and for some reason has taken me ages to get to. But man, am I glad that I finally had the chance to watch this film. Elisbeth Moss has become my favorite actress as of late, especially after seeing her previous collaboration with Alex Ross Perry Queen of Earth. Her Smell gives one of the greatest performances that I have ever seen, with Moss completely transforming into Becky Something. I still get the chills thinking about this film, and cannot believe that this film hasn’t gained a following already. We got some great films about the price of fame with Vox Lux and Teen Spirit last year, but Her Smell truly stands high up there with Vox Lux as one of my favorite films about music. I’m still in awe after watching this, and will need another viewing soon to truly grasp what this film has to offer.
