Teve uma época onde após o bum de Pânico, todo slasher – antigo ou não – tentava copiar o estilo e as idéias metalinguísticas feitas na época, inclusive tanto Freddy de A Hora do Pesadelo quanto Myers de Halloween tem seus filmes nessa vibe (porém não deu muito certo). Esse filme aqui é algo parecido, porém substitua metalinguagem e o gênero Slasher por nostalgia sem peso com filmes de herói. Alguém que tava na produção era muito fã de filmes como Missão Impossível e principalmente Velozes e Furiosos. Com a diferença de que aqui os dinossauros não tem o destaque merecido (o que não faz sentido) como tem gafanhotos gigantes como foco... Sim isso aconteceu e o choque de gerações não compensa as 2h20. Sim tem momentos de destaque, mas são isolados e quando acaba você precisa ver o Chris Pratt fazendo High five pra todos os dinossauros, nunca quis tanto que um dinossauro arrancasse a mão de alguém na minha vida. Um final épico que de final não tem nada e de épico menos ainda.
