The Last Summer

A superficial look into teenage youth, The Last Summer offers a "glimpse" into the lives of teenagers, which should be interesting, but ultimately falls flat. The characters from the beginning aren't interesting enough to invest any emotion in, so anything that happens doesn't come as a shock. This is the typical teenage film, filled with lots of sex, drugs, and drinking, showing that the perception of the modern teenager hasn't changed much. The Last Summer is another typical Netflix teenage film, leaving nearly anyone else feeling like they wasted their time.
