The Man from Planet X

Film #13 of August 2017 Scavenger Hunt Task #30: Watch a science fiction DOUBLE FEATURE film from the 1950s. The Man from Planet X is yet another typical science fiction film, focusing on the terrifying alien that comes to take control of the planet. Compared to The Day the Earth Stood Still, it's clear to see the low production value throughout, with many of the scenes looking cheap, but makes the film have that campy b-film style that makes it so memorable. The only problem was that not much seemed to happen, as I can't seem to remember almost anything about what actually happened in the film. The imagery of the alien itself is haunting and memorable, but the rest of the film is forgettable. It's still fun to watch this film late at night with another science fiction film, something that I definitely want to do more often, as well as start getting into older science fiction films from the 50's.
