In my many years of watching films I have seen many that surpasses this one in length, but non have felt as long as this does. The film drags, like really drags, the story could’ve been far more interesting if you took maybe an hour off the runtime. Sure, you would’ve of gotten as much story, but this thing feels like an eternity. However, there are many great moments in this film. The sets, costumes and emotional moments are very good. The acting is nothing short of fantastic. Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt are both amazing in this, like really amazing and both deserve a lot of recognition. If it didn’t feel like 8 hours I would’ve given this a lot higher rating, but sadly this is far too long for the story it’s telling.

Una película bastante buena en muchos aspectos, tanto en narración y con un CGI, que es bastante decente. Algo que me causa cierta molestia es la adaptación que hace del libro de F. Scott Fitzgerald, ya que no tiene tanta relevancia con el libro, solo en la parte de cómo él tiene que lidiar ante la sociedad con el problema. Fuera de eso, no hay relevancia con el libro por ninguna parte. No me causa tanta, tanta molestia porque no estoy seguro de hasta qué punto el director David Fincher quería tomar como referencia el libro. Fuera de eso, me parece una muy buena película. // A pretty good movie in many ways, both in storytelling and with CGI, which is pretty decent. Something that causes me some annoyance is the adaptation he makes of F. Scott Fitzgerald's book, since it is not so relevant to the book, only in the part of how he has to deal with the problem in society. Other than that, there is no relevance to the book anywhere. It doesn't bother me that much because I'm not sure to what extent director David Fincher wanted to draw from the book. Other than that, I think it's a very good movie.

This movie is generational. David Fincher really created one of the finest films ever. The story is unique a child born old who ages backward and the way Fincher tells it is magnificent. It’s slow, poetic, and kind of weird in the best way. Brad Pitt is smooth as Benjamin you can actually feel the loneliness of living life in reverse. Cate Blanchett is great too she adds warmth to the story. Their chemistry feels real but sad because you know it can’t last. Overall, the film looks gorgeous. A slow burn, but beautiful.
