“Men don't fear swords. They fear monsters.”
Dracula Untold
❝My father was a great man, a hero, so they say. But sometimes the world doesn't need another hero; sometimes what it needs is a monster.❞ •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅• I can see what Gary Shore was going for, but unfortunately it misses the mark by a lot. There was an interesting premise behind how Dracula became a vampire, though everything happened so quickly. I wish there was more lore behind the Master Vampire, because it was brushed over very fast and he didn't have much screen-time too, which was a shame as there was some incredible VFX going on. The plot was incredibly predictable, which dulled my intrigue pretty early on in the film. I did like the first couple of action sequences, but the final two were over in the span of 5 minutes and were very anticlimactic. The dialogue was pretty cringey and none of the characters had chemistry with one another, and the CGI was lacking. However, I loved the costumes, especially Mirena and Vlad's outfits, and the locations/sets were beautiful. Luke Evans gave the only halfway decent performance in this film; everyone else was so lacklustre and dull. Even the Sultan (portrayed by Dominic Cooper) wasn't a convincing or menacing enough villain, so I wasn't especially invested in anyone's survival. Dracula Untold had its moments, but ultimately this story should've remained untold.
Dracula Untold
Drácula só que filme de super herói. E daqueles dos anos 2000, que tentam ser sério porque tem vergonha da galhofa que os quadrinhos são. E final com gancho é sacanagem kkkkk Tá tentando criar universo cinematográfico?
Dracula Untold
I dunno man, thought this was decent. Obviously it’s not a masterpiece or anything but it’s a somewhat interesting take on the material.
Dracula Untold
burro demais, no momento que o bando de ingrato tentou te botar fogo fugia com a esposa gostosa e o filho e deixava esses pnc tudo morrer
Dracula Untold
“My name is Dracula, son of the devil.” Cue the Avengers theme music! Not that fun or good, not sure why I remembered it so fondly (hot Luke Evans probably) but it definitely does not hold up. That’s not to say I wouldn’t have wanted to see a sequel though, I think bad modern-day Dracula retellings can be very fun—see my Dracula 2000 review. I’d have been doubly interested if this had managed to tie into the now failed Dark Universe. Oh it would have been so bad I’m almost upset we didn’t get to see it.
