Six Men Getting Sick was the first short that I ever watched from David Lynch. It's one that stuck with me, just because it was odd. I never realized how his other shorts and films were going to be. It's an interesting short but extremely repetitive, making the 4 minute runtime feel like forever. It's typical early Lynch but it's nothing remarkable.

As I have gained interest in David Lynch's films, I decided to start with his shorts (I could have started with his films and worked backwards, but I wanted to see his progression). Six Men Getting Sick is strange. It's just the same thing repeated over and over. Is it disturbing? Not really. It's just strange.

This short shouldn’t be this interesting to look at, but it’s Lynch, so ofc it is. The way that it seems to get slower every time it happens again is discomforting.
