Some of the best acting in any film, Layer Cake is a classic British thriller. The story is a little confusing at times, but the ending ties it all together perfectly. Craig’s death and portrayal of the nameless character are perfect. He steals the show.

Stylish genre play. Based on his roles leading up to this, I wonder if this was less a dry run for Craig's Bond era as it was a personal step for him to be able to say yes to mega franchise stardom in the first place.

Stylish and entertaining enough. It’s no surprise that this is one of the big things behind Craig getting Bond, he’s really great here. Vaughn comes across more as aping Guy Ritchie and Tarantino than having anything genuine, but he still manages some style that sets him apart from their numerous also rans.

"Welcome to the layer cake, son." Vaughn is one of the most insufferable directors I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching. That being said Kingsman and First Classare genuinely great films, with First Class being one of my favorites. I say all that so you know I’m not a hater, and can give credit where it’s due. LAYER CAKE is due nothing. Tedious, dramatic without real substance, predictable and stifled performances, with an overall poor script. Daniel is lucky today was his birthday, or I’d have never finished. But, once again, I beseech you. Must a film be good? Is it not enough to have Daniel Craig naked and wet on your screen with his baby blues piercing into your very soul? I think it is.

Un ligero thriller vengativo repleto de Dinamismo, si bien el argumento no resulta tan revelador y tan interesante jamás sientes que pierdes el tiempo y eso se debe a este estilo dinámico en el que se presenta cada imagen en la historia y como se relacionan a un casting bastante cómodo en sus roles.

Really entertaining movie and it touched correctly all the subjects of drugs and the hierarchy of these people but why do that in the end?
