Diary entries forCreed II
Creed II

Creed II
Really enjoyed this, even more than the first Creed. The training scenes are fantastic, as is the music. Creed and Rockys relationship is great and I’m sad that this is the last time we will see it. However Creed is great by himself and the third instalment should be fantastic. At first I didn’t like the idea of Dragos child being the opponent, but it worked really well in this. Something about boxing films works so well, and this is a great example of that. Glad Creed won in the end.
Creed II
the ending was the best part tbh
Creed II
I am actually quite surprised after finishing Creed II. To be completely honest, I haven't sat through a full Rocky film yet, and I haven't seen the first Creed film either. I just needed a little time to pass before I went to see Schindler's List, so I thought this would suffice. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this was actually a pretty good film. I know nothing about boxing, but the scenes in the ring were breathtaking at times. Even though I wasn't fighting, I was filled with just as much adrenaline as Creed was. It was nice to see Tessa Thompson again on the screen, since her character was probably my favorite throughout the entire film. While the plot of the film follows the same formula that many before it have, it's still a very entertaining film, and one that's great for passing some time, just as I did. I may just have to watch the first film, as well as catch up on the Rocky films to see what I've been missing.
Creed II
Ivan has mommy issues and that's even more scarier
Creed II
these make me yearn for the days we had filipino parties for pacquiao fights
Creed II
while production is high quality and fights are entertaining as well, i feel the story kind of lacks. it’s a pretty safe and generic, and it’s so severely dependent on prior history that it doesn’t feel like a real movie without it. Not to mention the antagonist was pretty weak too, Viktor Drago shows up, says he’s Ivan’s son and that’s about it. We see there’s cracks in the relationships between the three since the mother left because of a minor reason in Ivan’s loss, and Ivan’s overall shattered pride and ego, but it doesn’t really go anywhere. Ivan looks to live through his son thinking he can get everything back so it feels like like it’s set up to tell us Viktor doesn’t like boxing and that’s an interesting angle to take if he’s only doing it because of his father. i would have really wanted the movie to explore something like that, but it just feels like smoke and no fire.
