Shaft

Shaft conserva un encanto particular incluso después de los años, y gran parte de ello se debe al carisma inigualable de Samuel L. Jackson. Su interpretación convierte al personaje en un ícono renovado, cargado de actitud y presencia, que sostiene por completo la película. la trama es sencilla y los secundarios cumplen sin deslumbrar. Sin embargo, eso poco importa cuando la película se sostiene sobre el estilo y la actitud de su protagonista, Shaft es un placer culposos seguro.

After watching John Singleton's work on Snowfall TV Show and The Original Shaft Film. I have no idea where this film came from. because Shaft as a story is not a Star Studded vehicle the producers think it is. and in a way, it loses its soul. It breaks from it sometimes here and there with some cool moments. but the original Shaft dared to take itself seriously with the tight budget it had. while here the opposite happens, where none of who worked on this film is taking it seriously.  I don't know really. but trying to replicate that notion does not work in a polished studio system environment it will water it down. (even when the original itself was mainly funded by the Studio system, but at least it felt free. this remake feels like a joke)
