A movie inside a movie inside a moment that can’t be scripted. And somewhere in there, a heart breaks in real time. Kiarostami builds layers of fiction just to remind us that cinema can’t fake real emotion. The most honest scene is the one no one wrote.

finished the koker trilogy. very interesting little selection of films. this one feels both like a more traditional narrative than the previous one but also expands the meta elements of it in a sense. what i like about this one was that even though it’s one of those films about making a movie, it relates more to the human and personal side of things. by focusing on the personal lives and stuff of actors from the previous film, it sort of asks the audience to view the story from a different perspective in a way. each film in this trilogy seems to expand upon the other ones, giving them that sort of connection.

Lo más bello es difícil de explicar. Kiarostami completa su trilogía y termina de demostrar su genio y su maestría del metacine. Esta película es preciosa y no la creo merecer.

Just for your information, I'm screaming when I saw Ahmed Poor from Where's the Friend's House? was here, I'm goddamn happy! From this movie I knew how genius Abbas Kiarostami is. He's a treasure.

A pesar de no ser la película mas fácil de empatizar del director kiarostami logra reconocer las dificultades de un pueblo afectado y desfavorecido enmarcando una historia de amor que conecta con las costumbres de su pueblo, este es un trabajo acertado aunque demasiado lapso como para empatizar de primer golpe.
