Stranger Than Paradise

makes sense that the director of “dead man” did this because i feel largely the same as i do with that one. i understand why the film is the way that it is in its tone and pacing, but it’s not something i can fully get on board with. i do like the stark black and white cinematography though: fits the movie’s bleak sort of tone well. sort of unifies every location, even the commonly bright and sunny state of florida, into something more dour. you know what they say, the grass is always greener on the other side.

Stranger Than Paradise

Stranger Than Paradise is simple and mundane, yet ultimately refreshing. Jim Jarmusch heaves an emphasis on the simple dialog and sincere characteristics of its characters, and doing so constructs a wonderfully exotic film, both little and big.

Stranger Than Paradise

Oh god the ending was so funny haha, so willie going to budapest, eva still in florida, and eddie going back to new york, so freaking funny!!! Anw, there's nothing much happens in Stranger than Paradise, but there's something about this movie that makes my heart so warm. I love each of the conversation between them tho, feels so genuine. It feels less like I’m watching a movie n more like I’m witnessing someone’s real life. I love it.
