Diary entries forThe Machinist
The Machinist
Really enjoyed this, maybe it was just because of Christian Bale and his outstanding performance, rather than the film itself. Overall, it is a bad boy draws a lot of inspiration from many other films and at times almost feels like a copy. However, the ending is very good of the message of the film I enjoyed. Atonement.

Overall, The Machinist is a disturbing yet gripping psychological thriller that leaves a lasting impression.

“How do you wake up from a nightmare, if you’re not asleep?”
The Machinist
The Machinist is one of the most unsettling and mind blowing movies I’ve ever seen. Christian Bale delivers an incredible performance, transforming himself both physically and mentally to play a man consumed by guilt and insomnia. The dark atmosphere, eerie visuals, and constant sense of unease keep you hooked until the shocking ending ties everything together. It’s disturbing, intense, and unforgettable a true psychological masterpiece. One of the best aspects is the almost black-and-white color palette, with mostly gray tones, except for striking moments like the red car or the blood. These pops of color stand out even more and heighten the impact of the film.

للأمانة مش مرة من محبين نوعية هذي الافلام لكن تمثيل كريستيان بيل هنا كان ايقوني
The Machinist
The movie feels like a darker, creepier version of Fight Club the same psychological unraveling, but pushed into a much harsher, more disturbing space. ngl the way he was paranoid is totally understandable . I once went a week without any sleep and I genuinely started losing my grip, so imagining a full year of that is insane. No wonder he spiraled. In the end, the moment he finally faces the truth, the guilt lifts and only then he is able to sleep. It’s a reminder of how far the mind can go when you’re carrying something you refuse to confront.
The Machinist
Fight Club for the insomniac. Seriously though, this movie made me so uncomfortable at times and I guess that was the point. Christian Bale is just insane for this transformation. I liked the story and although a bit predictable I did not see some things coming. Will never watch again. Also the line “A little guilt goes a long way” has been stuck in my head for so long. It will definitely stay there.
