Faces Places
Faces Places follows the filmmaker Agnes Varda with artist JR as they travel around France, taking photographs and making art installations. It's a very interesting look into such a famous director's life and see how she is today, especially after knowing her for her older films. It's interesting to see the friendship that the two end up creating, ad bond between artists. It's a little more of a niche documentary, really made for people who enjoy Varda's films and art in general. But it's still a great documentary that I'm pretty sure will end up winning best documentary this year. I'm glad I finally got to see this and have this be the film that closes off my viewing of all of the Oscar nominated films this year.
Faces Places
"Each face tells a story" Beautiful, in every sense of the word. So kind, welcoming and serene. Full of love and warmth. "I don't see you very well, but I see you." For Agnès Varda, all the hearts in the world!
