Isn't It Romantic

A autoconsciência no romance que é muito hábil na comédia física pela sua protagonista e que desconstrói os clichês mais óbvios do gênero de comédia romântica, sem renegar o gênero do romance e ainda engrandecendo sua protagonista à empoderando sem soar panfletário e que gera um bom entretenimento. O que mais senti falta dessa sátira foi a baixa presença de números musicais, coisa que filmes como Teen Beach Movie se arrisca mais. Inclusive ambos partem do mesmo princípio, porém Teen Beach Movie abraça de forma mais frontal seus clichês e subversões, mas "Megarromantica" ainda é um bom filme, seja pela comédia, pela jornada e o romance!

The ending is very sweet and welcome, and the concept ("person sick of *insert genre here* films ends up in situation where they realize they're in *insert genre here* film") is genuinely fun and has potential. Problem is aside from Liam Hemsworth and Brandon Scott-Jones, the cast doesn't make this instance of that work as well as it should here

Isn’t It Romantic is not really romantic as I hoped it’d be. The rom-com meta jokes are funny and cute, but I’ve seen something better than that.

A rom com pretending it's not. Past the broken cliches that ended up being cliches, I really enjoyed Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine on screen together: two kinds of comedy that have very good chemistry.
