comida também é uma forma bonita de afetividade, é carinho, é amor, e vai muito além de nos deixar saciados. esse filme é realmente INCRÍVEL e não sei nem como descrever o quão feliz fiquei vendo tudo, apesar dos momentos meio cabisbaixos. é de uma simplicidade, de uma forma tão confortável. enfim, tudo de bom.

first film i watched this year, and i definitely made the right choice as this was such a great film to start the year! i loved the feeling of calmness it gave me and the strong sense of familiarity i felt while watching. this also made me appreciate and feel the need to forever keep (and improve) my relationship with the people i have in my life… and as someone who feels most loved when people i love remember things about me, i really loved the scenes where jae-ha recalls things that even hye-won has already forgotten. this is officially one of my fave comfort films!

83/100 Just listening to Kim Tae-ri monologuing automatically makes this brilliant. There’s a quiet comfort to this. I’ve always disliked the city and love the idea of living in a place like this. The time to just stop and take everything in. This achieved everything it set out to do.

I'm wondering if this was made because of those asmr drink instagram accounts that pop up from time to time. Definitely a great place to shove in some classic Korean dishes and beats the stereotype that the current generation has not given up the foods that have sustained its culture for hundreds of years. The story was a bit trite. What little romance that seemed to propel the "I'm a lost twentysomething who has gone back home lol" narrative went nowhere, and I would've at least would've loved some last words of wisdom from the mother at the end.

Such a soothing, relaxing and wholesome movie, full of delicious looking food and beautiful shots. This movie is an experience in it of itself.
