Leave No Trace
The Year is 2018: Ranked and Reviewed (https://boxd.it/1OIs4) This film seamlessly tackles the relationship between a father with PTSD and his daughter who is stuck in the shadow of his burden. For the most part, Leave No Trace is a great and intimate insight into the topic; a film that moves slow, yet almost therapeutic for its lead actors. Thomasin McKenzie really is fantastic—she no doubt has a bright future ahead of her—and Ben Foster, too, is outstanding to see as his character deals with his PTSD and the way it affects him and his daughters life. It could have used better pacing and a little more emotion throughout, but there's nonetheless a lot that comes with it during the film's conclusion. 3.8/5
Leave No Trace
I know you must go And I think I know why... But I don't know why Still I am thinking we both share a moon and a star May you be safe, may we both find a place with a heart The Earth so small, a place, a home, a dream my own... There'll be a tree that joins you and me from a-far Even though the ending/parting is so heartbreaking; the change of circumstanes necessary for the characters to be true to themselves and thrive. The words of the end-credit song are comforting! And I sincerely wish that he does ultimately find a place with a heart. Leave No Trace is made with so much love and empathy for its wonderful characters and their story and it shows loud and clear. Easily one of the best films this year. Stellar direction, great performances and beautiful cinematography make this a must watch.

Who hurt you, dad?
Leave No Trace
