Elegant, defined and at times petrifying, black swan is all you could ask for in a horror/thriller. The story of Nina going crazy, with all the influences and drive she has for dancing, is beautiful and depressing all in one. To top it off acting is superb.

Black Swan, mother, Requiem for a Dream. Say whatever you want about Aronofsky and his films (especially recently), but no other director has been so capable of making films that are just dizzying, utterly surreal, experiences at times to get through. Visually and viscerally. Parts of this were just beautiful in ways I couldn't begin to describe, and in ways he and only he always seems to know how to achieve Natalie Portman in more batshit insane films like this and Annihilation please. Mila Kunis in more good films in general please.
