The nerve of that guy-- how could could anyone spurn Giulietta Masina! Ha! Fascinating to see her as part of the ensemble rather than focal point. Still so radiant. Very neat to go back to the start, filling in some large gaps in my awareness of the director (or co-director, in this case). This tends a little more towards the farcical than the forceful for me, but there's a lot of life here. And up there, on that eternal stage.
