Last Men in Aleppo
Similar to the documentary short The White Helmets, Last Men in Aleppo follow The White Helmets, showing their heroic doings in a time of such chaos. Much more emotional and personal than the documentary short, this film manages to pack in even more of a punch, truly showing the carnage that Aleppo is seeing, but also showing the good of some people, trying to do their best to help people. It's heroism at it's finest, showing that even in the worst of times, people still will be willing to help those in need. It's a powerful documentary that is hard to watch at times, but is necessary viewing, especially in today's political climate. It's not the strongest documentary that I've seen that's been nominated this year, but is one of the most important to watch.
