Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters

I am numb. Maybe I'll let this and many other blockbusters age for a couple decades and see if any affection builds up in that timeframe. :S

Ghostbusters

Revisiting this thing... I haven't remembered Ghostbusters (2016) such an AKWARD experience. AKWARD really describes this movie. It was made in the trending topic about remake classics with female leads rather than anything else that doesn't get moved by themes. Don't get me wrong, i'm not against this type of movies, but this doesn't add nothing new, because ends with the same message and hammered moments. Just like Captain Marvel, for example, both ends as entertaining popcorn flicks. In this case, for a comedy blockbuster, it feels weird, worst in extreme cases. It feels straight out of a cartoon, because there are some childish (and some unfunny) jokes that just froze your smile than make you laugh. However, i will lying if i say this at least doesn't was a little fun. But... you can guess why Jason Reitman will rectify to direct the third installment of the classic two. McKinnon is LOVE.

Ghostbusters

My fondest memory of the film Ghostbusters was watching it while I was little with my uncle. I normally didn't get to see my uncle, so we wanted to show him a movie that we loved. He ended up loving it as well, thinking that it was just hilarious. Ever since, any time I watch the film, that memory shows up. Fast forward to the present, and the memory I will have of this Ghostbusters is uncomfortable. We were late for the movie, and we were stuck in the 2nd row from the screen. While it wasn't the most ideal place, it still makes for an interesting ordeal. While I was close, I still managed to love this film. It was able to capture the fun and comedy of the first one, while still being original. I thought that the new plot of the film was actually really interesting, due to the fact that it was so far from the original. Ghosts are the same, but the way the ghosts are are different. I was scared that the film was going to be too much like the original, but it wasn't. The entire cast was amazing. McKinnon was the one who seemed to be my focus the entire film. This may be because I love her on Saturday Night Live, but she was still fantastic in this. As you know, McCarthy is one of my favorite actresses, and she was just amazing in this. She was hilarious, as usual. Jones was a fantastic addition to the team, seeming to be the comic relief. I love her on SNL, and I loved her here. It's so strange, though, that Wiig ended up being the weakest character. While I loved the character, she just seemed to be the one who was easiest to forget. Despite Wiig's weak character, she still gave it her all. I'm honestly confused as to why this film isn't doing as well currently. It is no longer at my theater (Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party took it's place), which was extremely surprising, since it hasn't been out that long. And I honestly don't see why people were so uptight about the leads being women, since they killed it. They left the ending very open for a sequel, which I would receive with open arms. Ghostbusters isn't the original, but something quite different. The leads are just amazing, seeming to have just great chemistry. I can't wait to see what else they do with the potential series, since they could make some great movies with these women.

Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters

I enjoyed this mf more than I even expected. Not bad for a post-thesis film to watch! (Finally got to see my boy Slimer again too lmao)

Ghostbusters
