The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Possibly the greatest ending to any film ever. An absolute masterpiece, like all the Dollars trilogy, which I believe is the best trilogy of all time. The acting, dialogue and action are all so unbelievably good. One of the all time greatest.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The good, the Bad and the Ugly truly impressed me. The long, tense scenes, the music by Ennio Morricone, and the powerful images make the film something truly special. Although it's told slowly, the tension builds steadily. Clint Eastwood as "The Good Guy" is cool and powerful, which fits perfectly with the Western atmosphere. The final showdown is simply iconic. A Western that is rightfully considered a classic. Sergio Leone truly managed to convey the Western atmosphere to me.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Excellent film. Well paced, well acted, tons of "yes!" moments. Music is beautiful and timeless. The last half hour is some of the best put to cinema ever

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I just saw this movie and it instantly became one of my all-time favorites. Sergio Leone is undoubtedly a genius. The way that he uses silence, music, humor, and action is pure perfection. You can’t find something like that in many movies nowadays. I feel obligated to say that this movie has the best soundtrack ever made. It’s simply stunning and beautiful. Ennio Morricone is a legend.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

"When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk." THE GOOD, THE BAD, AN THE UGLY is one of the best westerns I have ever watched. Not saying anything new or exciting there. But having watched about a dozen westerns this month, ranging from the 1930s to the late 50s, it’s interesting to see how the genre shifted and reimagined itself. Leone’s film especially feels like an entirely different beast all together. The lone muscle car in a sea of luxury cruisers. It’s a gunslinging, dick hanging, sun sweltering buddy-cowboy flick. Something I was not expecting whatsoever. There’s a treasure hunt. With a map. Disguises. Betrayals. Standoffs. Incredible music. Godtier framing. Need Clint Eastwood, carnally. I can see why Tarantino was so inspired.
