Roma

this movie felt so personal, like i’m invading someones private life. the decision to make this movie in b&w is the best decision! i love how they portray the relationships, it felt so real, & acting wise all did an amazing job esp yalitza for her 1st time.

Roma

Roma is one of the most intimate, caring films I've ever witnessed. Every scene is filled with so much emotion, so much adoration, it's beautiful. It has some of the year's best cinematography, and some of the realist performances as well. I wish that I had been able to experience this film on the big screen, since it's meant to be seen that way, not sitting in my room on a dim television. I'm just in absolute awe.

Roma

We are alone, no matter what they tell you, women, we always are alone You wouldn't believe if I say this film is about impeding rebellion that focuses on Cleo's point of view. The first act, we were introduced to the mundane life of Cleo─── a loving, obedient maid for a family that seem for the outsider has no problems in life however it went downhill as Cleo's life also progressed with them, and it reached its pinnacle as the family's problem collide with Cleo's. It progressed rather ghastly as I actually never expect that the family would be very welcoming to Cleo's problem and support Cleo because they've realized Cleo is one of them however Cleo hasn't fully come to this conclusion hence there was still a distance between them. It's an impending rebellion for Cleo's relationship with the family; she once was an obedient maid who follows orders however it developed through her intimacy with other people─── she bloomed, she rebelled with the old characteristic she had and accept that she had grown from the phase of excluding herself away. Still overwhelmed by the beauty and the progression, Alfonso Cuarón did that !

Roma

Roma is an intimate celebration of impeccable beauty in a black-and-white form and also (secretly) tells about women empowerment. Alfonso CuarĂłn severely and wholeheartedly crafted it with enthralling use of wide-landscape cinematography and exceptional group of cast.

Roma

“Poor little thing.” One of the few films to make me ache with longing to create something as beautiful and poignant as what I just watched. Cuaron has done it again, to the surprise of no one. What really is a shame is that we have a fantastic, moving lead performance by Yalitza Aparacio and she has been getting snubbed this awards season. For actresses that—. That’s another discussion. I want to touch on the camera work Alfonso does here just for a moment. I felt so much emotion in the most of the frames of the film. Even in scenes where characters are just interacting normally there’s such...I don’t know how to describe it exactly....a quiet emotion that can’t be seen but fills up the frame. I wish I had been able to watch this in a theater, I imagine the experience was immersive. But I watched it on my personal projector and I still cried so, misson accomplishes either way, right?

Roma

Un poema hermoso que Cuarón hace a su infancia a través de la historia de Cleo, abordando el folklor mexicano desde un punto de vista libre de estereotipos extranjeros.

Immersive, and beautiful beyond words; an instant classic. Ah I wish I could see it in theatre. Also, now I want to read up on Mexico's history.

Roma

On rare occasions, a director will reveal his entire life. For Cuaron, this is it, or, at least, a part of his childhood. Old Mexico in black and white, street vendors, rectangular homes, the people, the many people that crowd the theaters, that crowd villages, that love, that suffer, that seek refuge, that live and know life itself. Note: The third act of the film just rips your heart from your rib cage. 2nd note: Marooned is such a beautiful tribute to his Gravity.

Roma

"Roma" succed to break the boundaries between cinema and real life. When I watch this movie I didn't feel like I watch a movie that comes from a scriptwriter, but I felt like I was watching a documentary movie that was made from the original clips and then arranged in such a beautiful way. The cast, the set, and the plot are everything, I love all of aspect that this movie provide to me. If I watch Alfonso Cuaron's movie, I never worries about the cinematografi, cause as we know he's one of the director that have a very great taste in cinematografi and I also can found the beautiful cinematografi in this movie. I think "Roma" more deserve Oscars than "Green Book" oops !!!
