Diary entries forThe Babysitter
The Babysitter
i don’t get why they existed but the slow motion sequences were cool. the shot where we are the kid, and literally like nod from his pov made me cry internally why would a director ever want that. i’m not a film major but this made the cinephile in my heart heart, like rules are meant to be broken blah blah blah but in a conversation between two people about a random space fight why should the 180 degree rule just cease to exist this was basically just scary movie with a home alone ending. bach was lowkey funny in this. adding a new tag and may go and add some older movies to it: bad but enjoyable
The Babysitter
The Babysitter
This was surprisingly charmy, funny, and good for a McG film?! Samara Weaving was incredible
The Babysitter
Ok, I guess I was really expecting more from this, 2.5 stars just because Samara is hot af
The Babysitter
I would give all my blood to see Samara Weaving and Bella Thorne kissing like that again, c'mon Samara suck all my blood!

The Babysitter
What other way to start the new year than going out with a comedy? The Babysitter seemed to be the best fit, since at my party, we all love horror and wanted to get in a good laugh. Surely enough, The Babysitter managed to deliver the gore and laughs that we all desired. Upon this second viewing, it's clear to see that there were some problems that I overlooked the first time, but they really don't make the film any less enjoyable. Some of the characters definitely needed a little more backstory, specifically the parents and neighbor friend, but since they don't really have a major part of the story, it's okay to not get a fully rounded character. The Babysitter still managed to make me laugh, especially when watching it with a bunch of other people. It's one of the better Netflix films that came out last year and most definitely is a film that I will want to revisit with friends in the future.
The Babysitter
The Babysitter is one fun film. I went into the film completely blind, not even reading a simple synopsis, which I think I benefited from, since I really had no expectations for the film. While watching it, I was surprised to see that this was a modern slasher, since I was expecting it to me more of an homage to 80's slashers, but it just added something new to the genre, which was a nice surprise. While there were many points throughout the film I thought were cheesy and some of the acting was a little sketchy, the film itself is just a fun film, a film I really do want to watch with friends, since I know we will definitely have a great time.
