64/100 It has its moments of humour, seriousness and is fairly historically accurate as suggested by my favourite YouTube history channel - Vlogging Through History. However, it is at times uninteresting because it’s satire and one can only handle so much of a satirical style of filmmaking. The general and the son were fun.

A fucking good time. We have so much to thank Iannucci for. The wit, the subtle humor probably lost on audiences not giving their whole attention, everything.

What a comedic masterpiece. This was hilarious and I have to imagine it would be pretty accurate if a certain someone passed in the present. Every character was laugh out loud funny and I knew this would be great from the opening scene. Anyone interested in politics should watch this and anyone who likes laughing should watch this. Gonna force my future wife to keep a joke notebook. It’s illegal for you to ask about the hockey team. 8.8

Honestly this was painfully unfunny. I’ve only ever seen bits and pieces of VEEP so I don’t really have much to compare in terms of Iannucci’s work but “political satire” has never appealed to me in any way shape or form. Oh the people in power are losers? Wow, what a novel observation! This film probably worked better in Trump 1 when we were all a little less traumatized—now I just want to grab pitchforks and do January 6th the good way.
