Wind River

Such a good mix of mystery and emotion. The pacing feels right, the tension stays, and Renner’s quiet performance hits hard. The cold Wyoming vibe ties it all together perfectly.

Wind River

renner was solid. olsen i couldn’t take serious.  if only there was an app where i could talk about how much i enjoyed his performance. story was decent, but i don’t think i love the fact that the evil ppl and what they did was revealed by a flashback showing it all, especially when the characters hadn’t really figured that out at all yet.

Wind River

Watched with the family which probably wasn’t the best idea but at least everyone enjoyed it. It’s sad, very sad, but nevertheless a pretty great film with some even better performances. The violence is very explicit at times but it’s all part of the plot, and works well to show the grief and pain of losing a loved one.

Wind River

It's nice to finally see the film that a lot of people have been talking about. Whether it be coworkers or customers, there has been a lot of chatter at the theater about Wind River, a film that I had been told numerous times was absolutely amazing. Being that it only stayed a few weeks at the theater, I thought that it was just going to be a typical murder mystery, and that's exactly what it was, but it really was a good film. Wind River doesn't bring anything new to the table, with the biggest difference between it and other mystery films is the very realistic violence, but other than that, it's a typical fun murder mystery.

Wind River

84/100 When Jeremy Renner said “You have to know that I’m not gonna get him back” was the moment that sealed this as a great film. The ending was quite intense, right from the shootout to the rape sequence to the climax. Very well made and quite a strong film that definitely makes you feel for the characters. Jeremy Renner and Olsen are both very good, especially Renner. Sure it starts off a bit poorly and the writing is off at times but it picks up the pace smoothly.  Yes she ran six miles on the snow barefoot in a blizzard. That is what I call a thriller, makes you feel for the victim and make you root for the revenge, makes sure you can’t take your eyes off of it. Saw the reel many times and kept putting this off because I just didn’t wanna watch a sad film but at some point you have to right! Also, Jon my man please play some happier characters man, you’re good in these roles but you can be different too.

Wind River

super solid new age western. nothing revolutionary but certainly nothing to scoff at. a couple moments felt superstudent film-y to me, namely the mother cutting herself repeatedly in a white dress, but it was brief. but overall i thought it was good if not a bit by the books. i do think i prefer hell or high water though.

Wind River

Man this was so good. Amazing cast, definitely the best performance I’ve seen from Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olson. I really hope Taylor Sheridan can get some more opportunities to direct.  Pretty depressing from start to finish. Really love the conclusion to the issue and the final scene. The real life info that was given at the end was heartbreaking.  10/10
