Pretty good. The ending scene with the beast does drag on a bit too long, it was obviously neither the beast or Casey were going to die so the whole thing felt a bit drawn out. Also, the therapist was one of the most negligent id ever seen, she was arguably to blame for what happened and clearly wasn’t doing her job properly, she was influenced by ideas of grandeur which made her turn a blind eye to a dangerous situation. It’s a good time though.

Better people than me have said more eloquently/at length the harm this film does by stigmatizing mental illness and having a negative impact on those with DID and other disorders. I didn't pay a cent for this the first time I saw it on HBO, and today a friend gifted me an 8-film Blumhouse boxset that it was on I believe in at least trying to find some positives, somewhere, whenever you can. For me with Split that has been Anya Taylor-Joy being discovered by more people. Stanning her since The Witch, and this girl is gonna Continue to do great things. G*d willing, from 2020 on it won't involve M Night films

It's nice to see M. Night Shyamalan back behind the camera. After The Visit, I was interested to see what he was going to do next, as he had done something completely different with that film. Then came Split, quite possibly the most controversial film of the director's career so far (then again, you could say The Last Airbender and After Earth could qualify as controversial as well). When watching this film, it is good to know exactly what you are going into, especially when you go into a film knowing that it is going to be about a mental illness. I went into the film cautious, as I knew that this was going to be a sensitive film to many viewers. After finishing it, I can see why people had problems with the film, but, even thought I am not educated in DID, I don't see that this film demonized people with DID, or even made them look like they were monsters. I can most certainly be wrong here, but I thought the film did a good job at not making it seem as if every person with DID will turn into a monster. Despite the fact that one of the identities is a monster, I thought this film was actually surprisingly well done. James McAvoy was absolutely amazing throughout the entire film. There was one scene where several of the identities came into the light right after each other, and it was incredible seeing McAvoy completely change characters and personalities to quickly and so meticulously. Surprisingly enough, Anya Taylor-Joy was the shining star. She was electric in every scene she was in, and she seemed to be one of the best parts of the movie. Are there problems with this film? Of course there are, but you can set those aside for the most part and just enjoy a typical Shyamalan film. Is the twist as good as they've been before? Not necessarily, but Split really is an entertaining thrill ride.
