late title cards my beloved. well 11 minutes in isn’t as late as some others but still, a relatively long prologue compared to some other movies. surprised this was only the second Coen film, feels very much their style. also probably the second best Coen movie that ends with someone describing a dream they had.

The first 30 minutes were kinda rough but once the 10(?) minute chase sequence starts, it’s pretty fun throughout the rest of the runtime, especially the stuff with the biker. Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter were great, and Frances McDormand was a nice surprise 😂. 6.5/10
