The Strangers: Prey at Night

Was this bad? No. Did this have fun parts? Yes. Could I shake the feeling this wasn't necessary to make and that this "series" has nowhere left to go? No.

The Strangers: Prey at Night

This and Chapter 1 literally having the same storyline, but this is moreee better. Now i'm interested with The Strangers franchise i hope the Chapter 2 and 3 is like this. And who tf banging the door so hard when comes to other houses? Are you in rush or something? I'll not let it open if you banging like that and i'll be mad if you trespass our property like that. Have some manners. 😤

The Strangers: Prey at Night

My hottest take is that this movie is better than the original. The vintage vibe, the synth-pop soundtrack, the neon, the creepy atmosphere of the empty trailer park; everything just works so well together. The pool scene is one of my favorites from any slasher film ever of all time.

The Strangers: Prey at Night

A decade after the release of the infamous thriller The Strangers, we finally get the highly anticipated sequel. A decade really is a long time to wait for another film in a series, especially when the film is as memorable as The Strangers, but I'm glad to say that the worth most certainly is worth it. Inducing some of the worst anxiety that I have experienced watching a film, The Strangers: Prey at Night is an excellent thriller that manages to throw in a ton of punches in it's short runtime. Clearly taking inspiration from 80's slasher films, it feels more like an homage to the early slasher genre than a follow-up to another film. The soundtrack and stunning visuals add even more to this 80's aesthetic, transporting the film into another decade while still feeling modern and fresh. After a decade of waiting, it's nice to finally see what happened to the antagonists of The Strangers, and this film definitely delivers an unforgettable conclusion. The Strangers: Prey at Night may not be getting as much attention as the original film, but it definitely is a much more enjoyable and memorable film than it's predecessor.

The Strangers: Prey at Night

"Leave us Alone" "But we've just started" This one was definitely a lot different than the first. It strays far away from that creepy feeling of the first but there is some creepiness still there. This was more of a slasher, which I appreciate because this was so sick. The main family dynamic I got to say I enjoyed more than the couple one from the last film. Seeing a family going through this is much darker and more relatable. Which makes it scarier. The performances kinda carry hard though between the family. The villians I have to say are more enjoyable just because they have way more screen time than previously. I absolutely love the villians ending more than the other one. It's hard to not feel grateful when the villian gets attacked. I also absolutely love that whole pool sequence. I'm actually shocked I was not expecting it to be this good.

The Strangers: Prey at Night

If this weren’t a sequel to THE STRANGERS I think I’d like it more. As it stands, it’s kind of a letdown TL movie from something creepy, unnerving, and that feels realistic to this, which is so incredibly stylized there’s no way you’d think it’s related to the first if it weren’t for the masks/title.
