I Know What You Did Last Summer

There is something charming about relatively unknown actors, at the time, getting one of their first big feature film roles in a slasher movie. Often overshadowed by Scream as the 90s film that revitalized the slasher genre, this one is good in its own right. Lot of iconic moments, a decent story, and it's set in North Carolina! What's not to love?

O Slasher está em declínio, é um gênero que não se sustenta mais, então tudo que vem desse gênero, principalmente a partir das década de 1990, é uma forma de garantir uma sobre vida. E aí a gente tem as maiores subversões possíveis ou mudanca no gênero pra que ele se renove. Aqui não é diferente, aos poucos esse mistério e esse crime não intencional volta e uma história que deveria ser uma vingança por quem morreu, se transforma em uma vingança de quem sobreviveu. Gosto desse pacto dos amigos de esconder e esquecer o que aconteceu no verão passado e ele tem umas dinâmicas pessoais bacanas até, mas infelizmente ele não é um filme inspirado. Ele bebe muito de Halloween e Sexta-feira 13. Não ironicamente, a perseguição que acontece com a Sarah Michelle Gellar remete muito a um Giallo, se tacam um neon ficaria incrível e a cena da perseguição no barco é uma ótima cena onde todo aquele ambiente apertado e limitado é bem explorado. Mas no geral, ele gerou boas idéias pra outros filmes e que foram melhores usados neles.

Confusing but i enjoyed it, the bunch of cool couple with full of mystery of what they did last summer. Typical 90's slasher movie, i hope the reboot of this movie is good cuz i'm gonna watch it soon!
