every picture of james dean used in the set design instantly boosted my enjoyment of this. which, thanks to an absolutely stacked cast, was already quite high. also i MAY be having a little bit of an aaron tveit moment rn but that’s neither here nor there.

I am really surprised at how well done Grease Live ended up being. The only live musical I actually watched was Peter Pan Live, and that was a disaster. Hearing Fox started doing these, I had little hope, especially hearing they would do The Rocky Horror Picture Show as well. After seeing this, I have hope for The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This had a great budget, allowing for some fantastic actors and great sets. Everything seemed to run smoothly, offering a great experience. I just thought they should have casted another artist instead of Boyz II Men to sing Beauty School Dropout (my favorite song from Grease. Other than that, I really enjoyed the cast, with Hudgens and Jepsen standing out. Altogether, Grease Live wasn't a disaster. I love the original movie, and this did a great job recreating such an iconic film.
