Dumbo
i'm open to the idea of a live action disney movie but this one ain't it.
Dumbo
Burton seriously should not direct remakes/adaptations anymore.
Dumbo
Audiences are going to be very divided on little Dumbo. Tim Burton is back behind the camera again, which many people think will make this a "weird, quirky" version of the story of the small flying elephant. And for the most part, Burton's signature style really doesn't seem to be there, which has been a recent trend in his latest films. But, it's still a cute and entertaining film. For me, the actual characters weren't cutting it. Many of the characters seemed very bland and needed to have more depth to them. Specifically the kids, which were a majority of the focus of the film, didn't seem interesting enough to hold their own film. It has a great ensemble cast, with some interesting choices in accents from a few (Michael Keaton having the most surprising one). Overall, I enjoyed Dumbo, but I won't be ranting and raving about it. It's an interesting, and less racist, take on the classic story, and maybe I'll enjoy it more now that I know what to expect when I watch it again.
