This film blew all my expectations. The colour, music and animation are flawless, with countless Easter eggs and amazing scenes. You will feel every emotion while watching this masterpiece. Honestly this was one of the best I’ve seen.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Just when the animated meta had been solved to "The Pixar Style," Sony introduced a whole new comic-book style with ITSV. For something new to the animation game, it looks incredible, even merging several differing animation styles within the film. The film's best element (for me) is the character design. Miles' outfit looks near perfect, Gwen's outfit is extraordinary, Noir is straightforward but still great, & Peter's outfit is the best version. I'd go as far as to say Peter's outfit is the peak of Spider-Man costume designs. I don't think the character designs stop for the "Spider-People" because The Prowler's outfit is my favorite. Spider-Man has always been one of those movies where it's hard not to like it. However, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse oozes with passion and creativity. Sony took a leap of faith with this risky film, which paid off. This movie popularized & improved an animation style that looked beautiful, a level of animation unseen since Pixar introduced the Photo Surrealistic look. For this review, I've talked a lot about the look of the film, but that's not all this movie has going for it. The story is spectacular and original. I enjoyed seeing a new take on the Spider-Man story by having Miles be the protagonist compared to Peter. I also liked Kingpin as the villain, especially since Green Goblin is usually Spider-Man's nemesis. This film is nothing short of spectacular and deserves Best Animated Feature. 10/10. I can't wait for Beyond the Spider-Verse!
