Kinda disappointed we never got a proper Kilmer as Elvis movie. Tony Scott always had the juice. Miss him. Patricia Arquette as Alabama has to be one of the most beautiful people ever put on screen. Is Alabama a manic pixie dream girl? My how times change, from dudes not going down on women, to pop songs about eating eating ass in less than 30 years. Still super curious to see what Tarantino’s version of this with NBK attached would’ve been like.

“...and all I could think was - you're so cool!” This movie has held up so good, you can basically taste the Tarantino on the script. That is not to say director Tony Scott does not deserve some praise for his masterful direction of the characters, story and everything in between. It’s a shame how Tony is seemingly overshadowed by Tarantino’s writing since I already believe Tony Scott to be one of the most underrated directors out there. Every single character has so much flavor to them right down the most insignificant ones, much like Brad Pitt’s Floyd, the druggie burnout that doesn’t do anything other than fuck everything up and be constantly high. Even the cops in the third act all have so much to them regardless of how little bit of screen time they actually have. It’s a film lovers film. You clearly see this through Clarence, our incredibly likable lead, and his love for movies, actors, and cinema. Much love to the director, Tony Scott who left us too soon. This is one of his films that will forever be well regarded.
