Radio Days
I've never felt anything so sentimental coming from Woody Allen. It was interesting to see him narrate the film and not actually "appear" aside from the ten year old version of himself. It's sweet, holds its funny moments, and is absolutely lavish-- a kind of exquisiteness that will reappear in costuming in his later films through its 40's lookbook and glossy neon lights. Major props to that wonderful Diane Keaton surprise (oops, did I spoil it?), and was a big fan of the whiny Mia Farrow.
