Broken Flowers

Ugh, I don't know how to feel about this one. On one hand - it has a strong premise and is trying hard to fulfill its purpose. On the other hand, it kinda doesn't. It's funny! At times. It's melancholic and reflective! At times. It's a noir/detective story! At times. It just wasn't working for me, but I held out hope that the ending would pull it all together. It did not, but maybe you'll get more out of it than I did!

More like the sequel to Lost in Translation. Bill Murray and lonely, lost, quiet characters are a perfect combo. He really suit that kind of role. His eyes are everything.
