Diary entries forThe Curse of Frankenstein
The Curse of Frankenstein
I love Hammer films and I'm so sorry it took forever for me to watch a fair amount of them in full. They're so beautiful and atmospheric and British* *note I'm typing this a few hours after the shitty election so I want to make a quick addendum that the "so British" aspect in real life and not Hammer films is Not Always A Good Thing
The Curse of Frankenstein
Night 9of 31 Nights of Halloween The Curse of Frankensteinis a film filled with lavish sets, overacting, and a lot of atmosphere. It’s an absolute blast to watch, and is a visually stunning piece for its time. The way that it twists the tale of Frankenstein makes for a memorable watch, one that I absolutely fell in love with.
The Curse of Frankenstein
Hooptober 9 (https://boxd.it/iw0h4) #15 of 33 • 1 of 2 Christopher Lee (https://letterboxd.com/actor/christopher-lee/genre/horror/) films AND 2 of 8 different decades (https://letterboxd.com/films/genre/horror/by/release/size/small/) (1950s) I'm still waiting on a proper book adaptation. Unfortunately, this one brings nothing new to the Frankenstein table, besides maybe a better-looking monster.
The Curse of Frankenstein
A cautionary tale about what happens when someone who wants to marry their cousin attempts science.
