First half is just amazing, clever jokes, a superb script, but it kind of falls apart in the second half where, I'm afraid, everything just feels bizarre and cringe, maybe it's just not my taste

The town: he's the monster that we never had, the change that everybody would want. The friend (/cultured, sophisticated man-about-town) that everybody deserves. We don't know a better ALIVE person. Marty Feldman's Igor is the one that pushed me to watch this film and, in my opinion, he was best part of it. I like the new developments to the story and the limited extent to which the first one is combined. Well, more like, how the new stuff plays out within the old framework. Gene wilder seemed to be having the time of his life & a great performance came out of it; tbh everyone was really good! It's fun and well-made. A few jokes after Elizabeth joins them were a miss for me, to be nitpicky.
