This tick of our lifetime is one moment you love me.❞ ⊱ ──── . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. ──── ⊰ I've had Chinese Box in my watchlist for so long, and after finally watching it I have some mixed thoughts; on one hand, it's beautifully shot and the concept is definitely there, but on the other hand the plot is a little frustrating and it does become aimless in certain areas. It's got a very romantic and bittersweet sentimentality at its core, which turns almost cloying after a while. Jeremy Irons gives a brilliant performance in the lead role as John, and the supporting cast, which includes the legendary actresses Gong Li and Maggie Cheung, are also pretty great. With that being said, though I wouldn't necessarily watch this again, I think it's a good film, and worth giving a go just for Irons' acting.
