a very important piece of apitchapong! the last scene is so powerful for me: jen refuses to sleep and forces herself to stay awake to watch what the government does and what the civilians try to do above the mess the government made.

beside the beautiful cinematography, this movie is very enjoyable. un this movie, it's very clear what's happening so we just invited to be present on there. unlike memoria, where we are invited to try solve the problem together with the main character, what is important here is that the present of us to witnessing what's going on in this movie. we are like jen who was invited to the royal palace without even actually on there. she might be not physically on there, but she was there spiritually with Keng as itt who is a vasel, guide, or bridge between two worlds: dream and reality. apitchapong always so brilliant when he makes a blurry line between a dream and reality. the main point of this is that everyone try to help each other to escape from a place they are not belong.
