there’s a lot of scenes where i literally cringe because its so cliché and there’s TOO much men, thank god for margot and viola for carrying this movie

One of the worst, most fundamentally broken films I’ve ever seen. The plot, editing, action and lighting are all awful. The villain is awful, the Suicide Squad are awful and the Jared Letos Joker is truly awful. The biggest crime is Amanda Waller, she literally kills her own men, who are innocent, because they weren’t briefed on the mission?!?! Like what?! This film makes absolutely no sense, it’s frustrating to watch and David Ayer should be ashamed his names on this thing. Even Harley Quinn is bad in this, her character is cringey and stupid, I’m just going to pretend this film doesn’t exist and hopefully never watch this again.

I can guarantee the #AyerCut will have more pointless Joker scenes, destroyed choppers and objectable elements than good reasons to be a nice film, and still can be watchable and special than this butchered mess, just like even Ayer's experimental flicks. Dawn of Justice wasn't a disaster, y'all mean. The disaster was yet to come with this, and we deserved it. Or isn't?

Has a lot more walking than I remember. First half was way better than the second half. Loved the editing Still, this has the best soundtrack in any movie, ever. Fight me

I wanted to love this movie. But ended up liking it. I know that doesn't seem like a huge difference, but it is. This film has many flaws from pacing to editing, but one thing it got right, was the heart of it's characters. And that's what ultimately carries this movie. It's a very character driven story with a paper thin plot and very meh villain. But that to me, doesn't warrant a 26% of RT. The reviews, even some on here, are very hyperbolic in the extent to which they describe the flaws in this film. But that's beyond the topic of this review. Amanda Waller, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn are the most fleshed out characters in this movie, with El Diablo being the breakout character. I wish the other members of the Squad had gotten extensive flashbacks as well. Personally I was looking forward to Boomerang, but I didn't get a lot of him. He did have some good moments but I suppose if this gets a sequel, they'll expand on him. I suppose that's all I can say without getting into spoilers. Overall, this movie is a C+. I was throughly entertained. In the words of David Ayer: "It's a fun summer movie, with a lot of heart."

While it may not be as entertaining as I remember it being, Suicide Squad still manages to do what it was supposed to do - give an action-packed film with an all-star cast. Yeah, there’s a lot of problems with the characters, and Leto’s Joker is utterly forgettable, but it still has some good characters that I’d love to see again. Definitely not as fun as Birds of Prey, but still a good time overall.

As many times as I’ve seen this now, I still have a lot of fun watching it. Leto’s Joker really doesn’t do anything for me, but it’s still a great cast with some fun characters. Viola Davis, as usual, captivates in every scene she’s in. I’m hoping that The Suicide Squad is just as fun as this one, if not even more.
